Our AGM and the Sixth Annual Conference on Construction History was held in Cambridge on 5, 6 and 7 April 2019 with the AGM on Saturday 6 April and an annual lecture and dinner on the Saturday night and a tour on Sunday 7 April.. The theme of the first day was Water. The second day covered other aspects of Construction History. There was also a special session on Doors
A conference in honour of Professor Werner Lorenz who was the first person to hold a Chair of Construction History will be held in Cottbus from the 26-28 September and retired this year. Please see the programme for details of how to attend
The Fourth Annual Conference of the Construction History Society will be held in Queens’ College, Cambridge between the 7 and 9 April 2017. The call for abstracts has been released and was extended until 14 October 2016. For more details click here
The Third Annual Conference of the Construction History Society will be held in Queens’ College, Cambridge on the 8 and 9 April 2016. The call for abstracts has been released and abstracts should be submitted by 30 September 2015. For more details click here
Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting of the society will take place on Saturday 21 March at Queens’ College Cambridge at 11.30 as part of the annual conference. All members of the society are welcome to come to the meeting free of charge and it will be followed by the annual lecture. This year’s annual lecture is by Professor Linda Clarke. Title: Valuing Construction Labour. If you wish to attend but are not coming to the conference please contact the secretary.
The fifth international congress on construction history is being hosted by our affiliate society, the Construction History Society of America, and will take place in Chicago in June 2015
